Ardell Aqua Lashes Go Viral On TikTok For Swapping Adhesive Glue With Water

Another day, another beauty product going absolutely viral on TikTok.

Fresh off the heels of the KVD Good Apple Foundation, the internet has a new favourite makeup obsession sweeping our For You Page— and a drugstore buy at that.

Enter: Ardell Aqua Lashes.

This new collection of false lashes are water-activated and require no adhesive. Ideal for those with sensitive eyes or an allergy to traditional lash glue, simply dip the band in water and apply like a normal strip lash. And yes, Ardell Aqua Lashes are re-usable until the stick runs out.

TikTok user @rebeccaadams shared her experience trying this innovative product on the weekend, amassing over 500,000 views in a matter of days on her first impression of the lashes.

“I’m in the middle of getting ready for a night out, and yesterday I went to the shops to get eyelashes,” she starts. “And I found these! Aqua lashes— you literally dip them in water and they stick to your lash.”

“I don’t know when they came out. How are these not on TikTok? I don’t know.”

Rebecca went on to apply the lashes on camera after dipping them in water, which appear to adhere to her lash line firmly without the mess and hassle of using glue.

In a follow up posted the next day, the 21-year-old claims they “literally stayed on all night long” and she had no issues with them.

After ripping them off (which is not recommended— instead, use a cotton swab with water or makeup remover), Rebecca says they left no adhesive residue around her eyes, and the lashes “still look really good.”

“Honestly, 10/10 recommend.”

In recent weeks, the hashtag #aqualashes has seen over 6 million views on TikTok, with hundreds of beauty lovers sharing their review of the revolutionary lash design.
