BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim and BIGBANG’s G-Dragon are apparently dating.
According to Dispatch, the two have been in a relationship for over a year. The outlet reports they’ve witnessed the two secretly meet, however they allegedly take most dates at their homes.
Dispatch claims their alleged relationship is widely known amongst YG Entertainment insiders. Apparently managers for both Jennie and G-Dragon, real name Kwon Ji-yong, help in facilitating transport to and from each other’s homes.
A source close to the couple reportedly told Dispatch that “quite a lot of people at YG have noticed their relationship” and that “Jennie’s mother is also aware of her relationship with G-Dragon. She’s thankful that he takes special care of her.”
Despite rumours, a rep for YG issued a statement today. “We can not confirm anything about our artists’ personal lives,” they said. “We ask for your understanding.”

Though unconfirmed, this potential union is already controversial. In 2013, G-Dragon, known as the “King of K-Pop,” came under fire for posting an Instagram photo in blackface as a message of “support” for Trayon Martin, a 17-year-old Florida teenager who was gunned down while walking back from a convenience store.
G-Dragon’s tribute faced intense backlash from both K-Pop fans and the music industry.
Jennie, on the other hand, remains unproblematic. The 25-year-old, who was previously linked to EXO’s Kai, has been instrumental in BLACKPINK’s popularity throughout the Western world. She’s been nicknamed “Human Gucci” and “Human Chanel” thanks to her affinity for designer labels and has also been recognised by Forbes for influencing Korean beauty trends.
