Bretman Rock was not playing when he claimed 2021 as “his year”.

Following a string of successful ventures— including the release of his very own MTV reality show as well as a YouTube Originals docuseries about his life— the social media star is capping off the year with a history-making moment for Playboy Magazine as their first openly gay male cover model.

“For Playboy to have a male on the cover is a huge deal for the LGBT community, for my brown people community and it’s all so surreal,” Bretman said in a statement for Playboy’s Instagram. “A total ‘is this even fucking happening right now?’ type of vibe. And I’m so pretty.”

Following in the footsteps of musician Bad Bunny, who made history as Playboy’s first male cover model in July 2020, Bretman dons the iconic bunny ears and corset worn by countless pop culture figures over the decades. The 23-year-old was photographed by Brian Ziff and styled by Charlie Brianna.

Actors Ezra Miller and Paul Rudd are amongst the few men to have sported the signature bunny ears as well.

The issue will be available digitally, as Playboy’s traditional print magazine ceased publication in March 2020 after 66 years.

Bretman is constantly levelling up and we love to see it.
