David Dobrik Dropped By Sponsors, Including SeatGeek, Amid Vlog Squad Allegations

Several brands have pulled their sponsorship with David Dobrik and the Vlog Squad.

The decision to cut ties with the viral collective comes after weeks of controversy surrounding the group and its leader, David Dobrik.

In February, David came under fire when former Vlog Squad member Seth Francois went on the H3 After Dark podcast and accused the three-time Kids’ Choice Awards winner of sexual assault after David allegedly forced him to kiss 47-year-old Jason Nash against his will for a video.

Seth explained how to make-out prank transpired, saying, “It was a video where David set up with, uh, with Jason Nash and Corinna [Kopf] and said that I was supposed to do a make-out scene with Corinna and he was going to have her in an old man mask and then switched her out with Jason Nash. After Jason pulled off his mask, I realised that I was just touched by someone I did not consent to.”

Just last week, an investigation by Insider found accusations of rape and sexual assault against the Vlog Squad, primarily involving former member Durte Dom, real name Dominykas Zeglaitis.

David took to his podcast YouTube channel on March 16th to address the allegations, however his video has not been well received by fans who feel the creator refused to take accountability for his involvement in these crimes, shifted blame, and took the easy way out by not posting the apology to his main channel.

Now, brands like EA Games, Hello Fresh, Dollar Shave Club, DoorDash, General Mills, Honey, Audible, and his most consistent partner SeatGeek, have all cut ties with David and the Vlog Squad amid the backlash, according to a new Insider report.

Over the past few days, more alleged victims of the Vlog Squad have come forward accusing David of creating an unsafe environment and facilitating sexual assault by his friends.

@imkaylaloren took to TikTok to share she feels validated after speaking on alleged “horror stories” she had with the Vlog Squad years ago. She clarified in a second TikTok video that no one believed her when she previously opened up about these stories until now.

Reply to @corn.daddyy I haven’t shared any personal stories in the past two videos. All I’m suggesting is that it’s been nice to feel validated

Another creator, @rimahurrell, posted a TikTok with the clown face filter writing, “Lol that one time I went to a David Dobrik party and ended up like this.” She shared a photo of herself passed out drunk on the couch with Durte Dom standing over her.

This scene aligns with accounts shared with Insider that the Vlog Squad invites girls over for parties— often underage— and gives them so much free alcohol many end up severely incapacitated.
