The D’Amelio family is making the jump from our phone screens to the big screen.

TikTok’s most famous family has officially inked a deal with Hulu for their reality show, The D’Amelio Family. The eight-episode docuseries will follow sisters Charli and Dixie alongside their parents Marc and Heidi as the four navigate their sudden rise to viral stardom. It is expected to premiere on Hulu in 2021, alongside the Kardashian family’s new show.

The docuseries comes off the back of a whirlwind year for the D’Amelio family.

Charli, then 15, first joined TikTok in May 2019 with a lip-syncing video alongside a friend and about six months later, she reached 1 million followers.

In December 2019, Charli and sister Dixie — who joined TikTok in October 2019 — began traveling to L.A. from their native Connecticut to collaborate with some of the internet’s biggest creators including TikTok’s first creator house, The Hype House.

After a busy start to the new year with press tours, creator trips, and even a Superbowl commercial, Charli surpassed Loren Gray as the most-followed creator on the platform in March 2020.

Shortly after, the D’Amelios relocated to L.A. and signed with United Talent as a family, including parents Marc and Heidi. Both Charli and Dixie have since gone on to launch projects individually and collaboratively, as well as work with some of the world’s biggest celebrities including Selena Gomez.

On November 22nd, 2020, Charli D’Amelio reached 100 million followers on TikTok— a milestone that took YouTube’s PewDiePie nine years to achieve.

The D’Amelio Family premiere date has yet to be released. And now’s the time to subscribe to Hulu if you haven’t already.
