Controversial TikTok personality Zoe Laverne has revealed she’s expecting her first baby.
The 19-year-old announced her pregnancy via Instagram stories today with a photo of two positive pregnancy tests. “Really excited to have y’all watch my baby grow,” she captioned the post.
Zoe later shared a selfie with influencer Dawson Day, writing, “This is the father of my child. Stop saying otherwise. How would that even make any kind of [sense]?”
The post was in response to fans expressing concern that the teen was possibly pregnant with the baby of her 13-year-old fan whom she was involved with throughout 2020. “Connor is 13. Nothing else happened besides a kiss,” she continued.
In early November 2020, a video surfaced of the former Musical.ly star kissing a 13-year-old fan named Connor.
The video came after weeks of rumours about their inappropriate relationship, starting with leaked DMs between Zoe’s ex-boyfriend Cody Orlove and former friend Amber Van Pelt. In screenshots obtained by TikTok Room, Amber tells Cody that she “left” Zoe because of “her interactions with Connor. They got very intense and it’s something I do not stand by what so ever. It’s pedophilia.”
Upon the video’s release, Zoe took to livestream to apologise for “catching feelings” for the boy 6 years her junior.
“I didn’t groom Connor, wouldn’t do that,” Zoe defended. “He’s a kid and I’m aware of that and it just happened we both were in a dark place when we first, like, became friends and we both just ended up catching feelings for each other. And friends do that, they catch feelings for each other, that’s not a bad thing.”
Connor, whose last name has been left out for privacy, has since addressed the backlash as well via social media, defending that Zoe “did not rape” him. He admitted they become more than friends and both realised it was wrong.
Despite copping backlash for her relationship with Connor, Zoe seemingly continued to spend time with the minor up until recently. Zoe also claims she’s been dating Dawson since mid-November.
Though some fans seem to think Zoe’s lying about being pregnant, the teen claims the positive tests are “very much real.”
